Allow me to share a glimpse into my background. Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia's vibrant hub, I ventured to the United States at 16, participating in an exchange student program. In 1996, gazing at the Golden Gate Bridge from Treasure Island at dawn left an indelible mark, prompting a heartfelt wish to someday create such a marvel. Naturally I chose civil engineering as my field of study in college at the University of Alabama.

Fast forward ten years, armed with a UC Berkeley Masters in Civil Engineering & Project Management and a professional Engineering license, I seized a momentous chance: to contribute to my dream - crafting a splendid suspension bridge. For eight immersive years, I engaged in every facet of this monumental project, from inception to triumphant completion.

Having contributed to significant infrastructure projects in the dynamic San Francisco Bay Area landscape, I cherish the wealth of experiences gained. These ventures stand as a testament to my journey, each milestone a testament to dedication and aspiration:

Presently, I'm immersed in diverse projects with Bay Area Rapid Transit, an endeavor I find deeply fulfilling. Outside of work, my passions span the spectrum: traversing the globe, cherishing moments with my family, and exploring my knack for photography and aerial imagery using drones. Engaging in sports like chess, badminton, skiing, and cycling keeps me energized, alongside indulging in various pursuits, including mastering the culinary arts and magic tricks. As a native of Indonesia, I have a strong inclination for delving into diverse cultures and can engage in basic conversations in both German and French.

My enthusiasm for learning propelled me into getting my California real estate license, obtaining FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification for captivating aerial photography, and writing a children's book, Oggi & Friends, published in English and Indonesian. Partnering with my wife, we also manage Airbnb properties for over 8 years with a trail of 5-star reviews.
